C15 and Enfield oil?
« on: July 03, 2015, 07:22:00 AM »
Im currently just using cheapo 20/50 car oil in both of the above, but it was suggested to me that the I should use straight 40 in the C15. Any views on this? The enfield is 2002 4speed classic engine, not a more modern one for which they recommend semi 10/40. Any views on this also?

I used cheap oil in both my Bullet and C15 and they seemed alright. Isn't it more important to keep changing oil  regularly than worry about the quality? At least that's what I was told, oil is cheaper than bearings.

Caution do not use fully synthetic oil in engines that have a clutch oiled by same oil. It will slip for ever & ever.
