2 in 1 exhaust system on XBR
« on: April 02, 2015, 04:36:23 PM »
Can anyone tell me, or had experience of fitting a 2in to1 exhaust system from Sandybike spares.
My question is, can you still use the main stand? Its not very apparent in their promotion photos.     ???

Good evening TC. I,ve not personally fitted one of these systems but looking at their promo pics I wud say yes you can use the centre stand. The silencer (both styles ) have a centre stand lug welded on complete with rubber stopper, also the pics of the red XBR they use as promo pics still has a centre stand attached. So one wud have to say yes (I think so). Try ringing or e mailing them to ask, I,m sure they,d be glad to help. Regards Michael.
Ps let us know the outcome if you do get one

Exhaust system nicely made and robust. The down pipes are fixed ,and fit well into the exhaust holes.
Clamps are included, takes a little  trial fitting the" silencer"to the adjustable mounting bracket.
All round a well made product, looks the business and simple, and the main stand comes up against a rubber stop.
Only down side, the "silencer" is very loud. Now searching for a baffle to make it neighbour hood friendly!

Just fitted the same on mine. Had a Motad 2into1 fitted previously. Fitting was straight forward but found the end of pipe too long to fit my own silencer [Gold Star pattern] so had to cut the pipe shorter to be able to get a fixing to the foot rests bracket. I did find the upswept of the pipe a little steeper than the old one as now the silencer is very close to the footrest pegs. Didn't need to fix the bracket supplied as I have the original center stand stop on the other side of the bike to stop the chain rubbing on the stand.
All in all I am quite pleased with the product and would recommend them.
Happy [noisy] Days !!!!!
