XBR front is 2.15, CB250RS is 1.85. I would have to try the tyre first and decide wether to get a new rim.

If you are going to rebuild the XBR to GB spec then the Japanese model GB had a 1.85 rim with a 90/90 x18 tyre.

I have an XBR fitted with RS250 spoked wheels. They were on the bike when I got it - newly laced with stailess steel spokes. I needed to adjust some of the shims to perfect the line up but the XBR caliper works with the RS front disc.
The only problem the previous owner had was getting a wheel sprocket - he had to have one specially made.
The front tyre is the RS 90/90/18 but the rear is the bigger section XBR tyre mounted on the RS rim.
It looks a bit odd but seams to work OK - the handling is just as good as my standard XBR - maybe slightly better as a lot of weight has been stripped off when I converted it to a cafe racer.
Good luck with your new project Silver - if the bike is as good as it looks you got a real bargain.

Thats good news chris. RS250 seems to be the way to go. I like the look of your bike. Where did the seat come from?.

Hi Tommy, Dave,
the seat is a chopped down original Honda part - not sure which model it is off.
The rear mudguard is half original plastic (to keep road dirt off the free-flow air filter) mated to a generic stainless steel guard cut to fit.

Hi again Dave,
I just Googled Honda CB750 seat and a picture of my seat came up (amongst others)

It would appear to be off a Honda CB750 K6 Racer

Chris 22, could you have a look at the disc on the CB250 RS front wheel you have fitted and measure the diameter. I now have an RS front wheel but the disc is much smaller diameter than the XBR.
