I don't know the specific carb fitted to the NX650 Domi', but, having had a look at an exploded diagram, it appears to be a CV job with similar nonsense to those fitted to the Bros that I referred to in my post "Simple explanation please.....!".
You say that your carb is all clean as a whistle, in the Bros carbs, the guts around the air valve are bunged up with tar deposits and hence a 'choking' effect when trying to open the throttle. You make no mention of the air filter, is this clean, etc?
I have also followed the advice given in the 'linked' article from Propeller and blocked the venturi in both carbs. Now awaiting the 'O' rings for the float bowls. Pattern ones are £18 a pop, Honda/Keihein ones are £115!
