Mmmmm - not much of a stunt pilot either. Mind have been able to lift the front on most bikes - but not to any great effect - however did find that DTs (125, 175 and 250) all popped good wheelies, XT250 popped them OK. pre powervalve RD350LC - the knack was keeping the front wheel on the ground (officer) and the RD500 would lift its wheel at any speed with only two digits - adult nappies a must at the upper end. Stoppies - RD500 does real gooduns even managed one on the K4 350 (ooops forks do bottom out).
However of the stoppies seen not sure if Randy Mamola taking the Roberts Yam 500 right over was best, or Geoff Johnson hitting Ballacraine too fast, overshooting the turn and stopping when his head planted against the straw bales on the antique shop, bike near vertical, front tyre chirruping away. (Cool as the proverbial he got off and wandered over to us for a chat - admitting that he was convinced that he was not stopping). Wheelies - less famous execution mind - Nick

? popping his goldwing onto the back wheel (two up) and then blipping the throttle to cause the torgue reaction to hop the rear tyre was good - but best has to be Rog Suckling on a GT250, on a meeting between the Plymouth Poly and Exeter Uni (or poly maybe) bike cclubs there was a bit of a show off between Rog and one of the Exeter boys in a car park - the Exeter biy as I remember dropped his bike (another GT) Rog was pulling real sweet wheelies and knocking the bike up into 2nd and 3rd etc. One of the Exeter boys took some photos and sent one down to us, on this Rog had the bike at about 70 degrees, waving at the camera - framed by two parked cars and there proud as a perch on his cut off was his AIM badge. The AIM guys who saw it were either really unimpressed - mainly because he was not riding a BMW with a broom handle up his bum, or wanting the pic for their advertising.
Oh Rog at a later date totaled my DT175 in front of an audience - nice wheely and then it hit the power... Mmmmmmmm
