srx repair manual do they exsist

hi there , have just bought a Yamaha srx 600 in need of restoration , with the engine out and the top end in bit,s , don,t no wot came over me ! . have been trying to get a repair/workshop manual to do a rebuild , with not much luck . I no there are one,s on the internet but which one can anyone out there help me ,please !

It does exist. I bought one years ago but can't remember the website.

Don't focus on the picture. The year of the book is for 1986 version and the picture is a 1991 one.

You can also use a XT 600 or Tenere repair manual

Some of us have a cd with the manual on... if I can find mine you're welcome to a copy... or borrow my battered and greasy manual and copy it.. as has been said, its for a 1986 1JK srx600, but there are very few differences... wiring is one place where you'll find differences.... uk imports have sidestand switch (a bleedin menace)... grey imports don't, grey imports  (Japanese) have a red 50kph (or is it 80) warning light in the spedo. srx's destined for America had 599cc engines as opposed to 608 cc for Europe/uk. so if you buy rings/pistons etc off ebay...from the states be ware of the difference.

Thanks steve , have managed to download  the part of the manual I need to start the engine strip and rebuild , but will still be asking for advice no doubt when I get into trouble, it,s my first engine rebuild ! so still might take you up on your offer . many thanks .. nev

also there are some special tools held by club members who are happy to loan them out... the only thing I have which might be of use  is a flywheel puller.. home made but does the job
