If any of you remember the Omagh bombing you might also remember the memorial service held in the town the week after. I watched the service on telly; a girl sang a song, just her and her guitar and (I'm not ashamed to say) I was deeply moved by hearing it.
Perhaps out of that context it's only a nice little ballad, but for me it will always be associated with a whole town of people stood stock still and listening.
