Hi Everyone,
Took the carb of the bike today - it's never run quite as well as I thought it should and I had also fitted a freer flowing air filter and lightly drilled the exhaust - so wanted to increase the main jet size.
Good news is I found the best thing possible when taking the carb off of a 'performing not quite as well as it should SLR650' ...................... a restrictor washer fitted in the inlet manifold - Well there's ya problem......

.
Person I bought it from never mentioned it had been restricted and no paperwork in amongst the load of paperwork I got with.
Wonder how many sellers have sold it because it was not going as well as it should?
Question is - underneath the carb screwed in to the carb body (not the float bowl) is a brass fitting with a two wire electrical connection - anyone know what it is - looks as if it could be either a temp sender or maybe some sort of de-icer

Peeing with rain now but can not wait to try it out and see what it's like now

Cheers
Frog
