When I run the tank down I will be able to tell, but having filled the tank up to the top its going to take some time. I took the bike out for a good run on the motorway yesterday only to have the bike die on me several times, hard shoulders are not a fun place. Left it for a couple of mins and it went again.
Checked the flow to the main valve and found it very slow so there was a obviously a blockage. Having taken the tank stop valve/ filter asm out in the past to turn over the sealing rubber gasket and smeared it with silicon sealant when I did it I was worried I had done something wrong. So I extended the pipe and blow up it. It sure was blocked, then glug it cleared
. Now I'm worried it might have been the filter in the tank that was blocked and all my huffing and puffing split the filter.
I went out afterwards and purchased an in line filter and will do try and fit it in line from the main valve to the carb, its going to be tight!
