Stafford Show - October 2011
« on: August 06, 2011, 09:35:00 AM »
18th Carole Nash Classic Motorcycle Mechanics
Stafford County Show Ground, Staffordshire, ST18 0BD

Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th October 2011
Sponsor: Carole Nash Insurance
Guest of Honour: Wayne Rainey

Just testing the water to see what level of support there is for having a club stand at Stafford again. As well as a display of members bikes I was thinking of including a tribute to Bruce Pollard - haven't thought it through yet but might be able to get his bike on the stand (logistics will always be a problem!). What we need are bikes for the stand* - the more bikes the better the display and the greater number of free weekend tickets**. If you can commit to bringing a bike along and fancy a bit of camping and auto-jumbling drop me a message.

Boyd

* bike will need to be on the stand from Friday evening (Saturday morning if early) until Sunday evening - always very grateful for the SRXs but other makes/models would be good as well!
** organisers are giving less free tickets this year due to dwindling attendance numbers

My blue SRX will be available if you get desparate. Im afraid the orange one has now gone to another home...but Im sure it could become "available" if needed. As you said tho Boyd, it would be nice to see some other sorts on the stand "as well"

Ian :)

We've all got to start somewhere, and an XBR would be most welcome.

Cheers Ian.

As soon as I get confirmation that we actually have a stand I'll be in touch with both of you.

Have just heard from Classic Bike Shows that Graham has already booked us a space. Our allocated space, 10'x18' is not in the main hall but in the smaller Prestwood Hall.

...and with a bit of luck, I'll bring a brand spanking new one  ;D

I shouldn't have said anything, as it may not happen.  But yes, of course it's a single!  ::)

The good news - I've ordered the new bike.

The bad news - delivery is in November, so too late for the show.  Must be popular, as there's a waiting list.

You can start guessing now if you want ;)  Shouldn't take too much guessing - there's not that many singles on the manufacturers' lists these days.
