I was thinking about going, I have a morini dart and wanted to go on that but the side stand has broken and most of the oil escaped from a fractured oil cooler pipe......waiting for parts.
It is a bit of a treck but was thinking of coming up on the srx for the day.

Good to meet you Steve! I really enjoyed the day having never been to a track day (only watching) I did not know what to expect.

It was good to see such a range of bikes, as a morini riders event I had started out on the morini dart but was not happy with a repair to the side stand (spring not springy enough) so wheeled it back into the shed and out with the trusty steed (srx6)

I really liked the old british bikes, especially the velocettes and scotts which I did not expect to see. Hummmm........I really would like an old British bike.

Sorry if I seemed a bit vague when you asked about the silencer on the srx, it came from Nathan French who in turn had been given it from someone in the thumper club (so it might have come from you.) Thanks anyway for all the advice you have given me in the past.

Regards Christine

Yes Christine... good to see you, your srx is looking mint!.... hope you didn't have too much rain on the way back home... heavens opened at cadwell just after you left, so we packed up at 3.30.... but we had previously had plenty of track time so a good day was had by all.

I think the morini track day this year attracted a lot of bike/riders who previously would have attended the 'classic bike' track day... which this year, for some strange reason moved to Rockingham, a boring flat place, not a patch on Cadwell... the morini track day was oversubscribed this year, which is brilliant for them, and means that they made a few bob on the enterprise and can organise next years event with confidence.

I will post our varied fortunes on the day, on the ongoing 'tiggy' project
