OS pipes first - had a fitting today _ if your going to OS Pipes be prepared to roll your sleeves up - it's a hands on experience. Collets made to measure in workshop although standard should suffice, I supplied standard flanges, but as previous, flanges were available on site. Pipes are single sheath stainless. A little backfiring after 140 miles (trip home to London [through a 30 mile lightning and hail storm [M1] and zero visability - still, open face helmet et all, I was able to squint at the white
hard-shoulder line and stayed in lane, just) so will check that further. OS Pipes very helpfull and enthusiastic. Bike loves the new pipes and retains the 2 into 2 as it should be. I was there for about five hours as pipes were fitted then removed for adjustments, then refitted, then removed for adjustments... Pea shooter silencers (already on bike) fitted with clamps supplied by OS. Bloke loves bikes and talking bikes, oh and the occassional Smoke - maybe that's why it took five hours! I, unfortunately, am new to biking and am a novice, but learning fast!
Only downside, the rattling I thought was the wasted downpipes seems now to possibly be the cam chain. Intermittent rattle at low revs, but seems to ease over 2000. Automatic tension adjust outlet (disc and raised bar) seems frozen either direction. Looking for info if anyone who has had a similar experience - easy to remedy? Thanks for previous responses.
