The Honda workshop manual shows a "bearing plate" fitted between the left hand crankcase and the main bearing. (fitted before the bearing is installed) I am building up one good engine from two and find the earlier engine has one fitted but the later one does not. Anyone know if the plate was discontinued on later engines or is there one missing?
