Oh bugger!

I was doing a little work on Newzuki my 250 Inazuma today and needed to unbolt the left silencer which was a difficult job as the bolt had seized and needed some penetrating oil to free it off. Finally the bolt came free at which point the silencer fell off as the pipe had rusted through!

I know Pete likes his Inazuma, but I wish I'd never bought mine. I won't be wasting money on a new exhaust I will just wheel the sorry remains of the bike to the darkest corner of the garage where I shall cover it and try to forget it's existence.

Thank goodness for the Mighty Midget.

Ian, I have replaced the exhaust on mine with an Akrapovik system which means I have the original sitting here doing nothing. It had only done 2,000 miles when I removed it so it's in good nick. You're more than welcome to it if it helps your cause. Either you could come and pick it up or we could meet halfway on a day that Sue isn't using our car.

That is remarkably kind of you to offer that and when my good lady returns from her holiday next week I will gladly arrange to pop over and pick that up. I am more than willing to give a contribution for it or bung a few quid the way of your favourite charity if you prefer.

No problem Ian, I don't want anything for it as I can't imagine I'll ever use it again, but I'm just loath to throw things away. I'd rather it goes somewhere where its of use rather than cluttering my garage up!

Pete is a very helpful chap - I remember him contributing an inner tube to my Ariel Arrow which punctured on its way to its MoT.

I should probably destroy my stock of inner tubes as I can't remember when I last used one, never mind when I last bought one. I guess they dont last forever in storage!

I am sorry about this but the next couple of weeks are silly busy so is it ok if I arrange to collect the Inazuma exhaust towards the end of November please? Sorry to be a pain as you have so generously offered it to me but sometimes even retired people have things they can't get out of!
