As my Triumph engine is a moveable (very) feast of mismatched parts from different engines from different years, I need to do various dry build so check everything fits as it should. Tired of chasing the crankcases round the bench I sought a solution. There are engine stands on the market but they cost knocking on £100. Surely I can do something I thought.
So here it is - made entirely of bits from my scrap pile, mainly a couple of 2x3 timber sections, various lengths of 8mm studding and some bits of assorted tubing. Total cost: £0. This is version 1.1 (note the gouge taken out of the near plank in version 1.0) and so far it seems to work very well.
