I am still not 100% happy with the Mighty Midget as it does still use a bit more oil than I'd like even though the one-way valve is proving to have made a drastic difference. It also clatters too much from the top end, but as I have now done 19,000 miles on it since buying it and it hasn't let me down once or got any worse I think I should just relax and accept it.
I think this more since meeting a couple of mates at the bike shop yesterday for a cuppa. They were discussing their Harleys as both ride fairly new Milwaukee 8 engined models. Apparently that particular model of motor which has only been around a couple of years suffers from oil pump problems which sees the motor not scavenging enough oil and clattering from the top end. Wow I am in good company. Best of all I paid 10 times less than they did for the noise, ride it 10 times more than both of them and don't have to pay £750 for a new oil pump!
Anyone mention twat tax?
