Aye Rufus, I use one of these:hjc-is-33-ii-pearl-white

However, I see that HJC have just brought out a new model of this helmet type: HJC_i30

The visor is good and hasn't scratched over 3 years and approximately 12,000 miles. I can wear my glasses that have thin side arms and the sun visor is OK. But there comes a point where viewing the road through a pair of glasses+sun visor+visor just isn't the same as through glasses and a visor.

Only downside might be that my hjc-is-33-ii uses a seat belt fastener rather than the DDring fastener and is polycarbonate rather than fibreglass etc. However, when compared with a full face, the extra visability, reduced misting and less weight are all bonuses. I always ride with the visor up one notch, as the beard reduces airflow and you can get misting in the fully lowered position. ;)

Good health, Bill

I'm not sure why the seat belt fastener is considered worse than the double D ring? I remember really struggling with the latter when my hands were wet and freezing in the bad old days whereas the seat belt / ratchet type is so easy to use.

I have one similar to this: https://www.jsaccessories.co.uk/buy/nitro-x562-uno-dvs-helmet-black/42744.htm although mine is an older model and doesn't have the sun visor. It's really comfortable. The tiny peak is useful when heading into low sun. My glasses fit under the sides very nicely.

Interesting... my current helmets, one open face with dd,   an one open face with a sort of ratchet fastener and a full visor and a flip front that I only use in competition ( but not this year !!! ) that has the seat belt type. The d rings I can get tight easily and it never comes lose, the ratchet type is awkward to adjust and at least three times I have managed to undo it by accident and the seat belt type I just don`t like. fiddly.. So I am leaning towards the Spada, with no visor, the Bell Riot looks pretty good but a replacement visor is around half the price of a new helmet !
With the open face with 5 studs I can fasten two or three different type of visor which are quickly removed or put on and fit in a tank bag , rucksack or pannier.  I don`t like helmets that aren`t a close fit  like most of the ones with visors , thanks for your opinions

How do you rate the press stud fastening against a built in visor? Any movement on the go?

Used them for years, the only downside for me is that it is fixed, but they are pretty solid until you get to about 100 then it used to press on my nose !  but these days I don`t go that fast, at least not until I get another Sportster and I can`t see that happening. If the helmet press studs are worn they can rattle a bit

Well I bought a matt black open face spada, same as one i had about 6  years ago and tested by stuffing my bantam into a hedge and bouncing my head off a curb (kerb ? )    ;D

well it arrived and it`s on it`s way back ! lovely fit but had wrong fastener, not DD as advertised.... >:(
