I was reading on the G310R/GS forum last week. Someone was having problems using their original Handlebar mirrors (vibration causing blurred images etc etc). Apparently ( if you are able to and have no cable holes etc in your handlebars) fill them with sand or small shot. This will increase of the usability of both the bike and rear view mirrors.
I cannot comment as I have yet to try this out... has anyone else heard of this tip or used it to any effect?

I did this years ago with my Enfield and yes to some extent it works. However remember to plug the ends of the bars or the sand will make throttle action very stiff.

Another tip is to add wheel weights to the back of the mirror in small increments until the vibes stop.

There used to be a bike club for British bikes in Sweden (I think) called something like the 34 club who only had 17 members but they called themselves the 34 club as the vibes in the mirrors made it look like there were twice as many bikes on a run!

This won't be to everyone's taste but on the (mighty) Enfield I fitted a bar end mirror. The vision increased  and the vibration stopped. Looks cool to boot.

Well being a plumber for the last 40years 😭😭... I just use molten lead for everything. Smelt some down pour it into ya bar ends. No more vibrations. Granted your bike will weigh twice as much and won't accelerate very fast but hey.. pros and cons eh 🤣🤣

I'm loving the adoption of the pre-fix Mighty to Enfields, they deserve some recognition.

I removed the very heavy Indian cast aluminium casquette from my Mighty Enfield and replaced it with a cast iron simple top yoke for an Enfield Thunderbird. Weight saving? None as it turns out Indian cast iron is denser than any other substance in the known universe and made me cry to see the pleading in the eyes of the young postie who delivered it as he asked me to take it off him.

Anyway back to mirrors, I agree with Andy - love them or hate them bar end mirrors do work really well on (Mighty) Enfields.

Well I'm going to fashion up a bar end mirror out of.... you guessed it.... lead.  Two birds. One stone 😉😉

dont bother with sand, get a tube of clear bathroom silicone sealant, put about  3 inches of rubber tube over the end of the tip so it extends inside the bar as long as the switchgear, then squeeze a blob in till it fills the diamiter up, let it dry then fill the bar with your choice of weighty object, lad shot, depleted uranium etc) then plug the outer end with silicone too.. alternatively, you could just plug the whole end 5 inchs of handlebar with silicone.

Filled the bars with ( kiln dried) sand yesterday. Had to plug a few holes with silicon first. Seems to have cut the vibes down somewhat. It's strange but it's  the o/side mirror vibrating now....hmmm 🤔.
