After looking at various bikes, none of which really suited me , I have bought a 1982 GN400, it will be interesting to see if it is much better/faster/slower/uglier than the 250`s.. trouble is i won`t see it until christmas eve as i go off to lapland on friday and it won`t be delivered by then

400's are great bikes, plenty of go compared to the 250, in fact the only fault they have is the 6v electrics. they resopnd well to a bit of tweaking too. engine is a slightly refined version of the sp400 engine.

gn400 arrived, surprised to see it has an 18" back wheel..  it`s all ok apart from a few electrical things not working correctly,  but just found a  a wiring diagram, just need a haynes manual now  ...
