Evening Ian.... I like the vitpilen, although from what I understand it is basically a ktm690 in different clothes. Ktm now own husquvarna, and when you compare things like the frame and some running gear you can defo see the connection. I'm sure it's a blistering mosheen and having never ridden a 690 I can't categorically say for sure but having now owned my 390 for 18months and put approximately 6000 miles on it, it revs very high for a single. Hence you gain performance but loose out on the "thumper" torque. Like I say absolutely fantastic bike, especially for a 400 single but a tad revvy (for me personally)

I saw them, generating a lot of interest, recently at Hastings May Day bike run. My first impression was, wow, they're really compact. I love the looks.
