DVLA in really efficient shocker!

Just thought I would say a positive thing about the DVLA for a change. I sent off my forms to register the GB250 last week , with my v55/5 MOT , insurance, dating certificate, some i.d. and a couple of pics suggested by the VJMC. Expecting nothing for a month or so I was really surprised when my log book turned up on Monday. It had only taken 5 days for them to sort it out! I'm not sure if the extra pics helped as there was no doubt of the frame number, engine number etc but really impressed with the service this time.

I must admit, that I too have found the DVLA pretty good. Ok, so sometimes you have to jump through a few hoops, but I've always got there in the end. Mark's wife Hillary works there. Thank god he doesn't

I have re-sent my application for the Monoshock to the DVLA  (see other post in project progress)

Im hoping it will be accepted this time (silly error really).

If it is rejected this time it will probably be because of "The wrong kind of snow" or "The wind is in the wrong direction"

I've never had any problems with them either. I did the V5C transfer for the Arrow on line and the new owner had the document in a couple of days.

Must now send off the V50 one to get the colour changed......

Sorry to be negative but i had a nightmare scenario which was featured on here when i bought a VT500 which had been in storage for about 25 years. It was still on the computer but the VIN on the frame  didn't match their records  and i was left between a rock and a hard place. I couldn't get a straight answer from anyone as to what to do and in the end sold the bike on at a massive loss.It could be said that i was the author of my own misfortune in not checking the numbers before i bought. The previous owner wasn't really interested (Ebay sale) and it wasn't worth the stress of doing anything else.

I had a similar experience a few years ago wit an old Triumph my mate and I bought as a fixer upper. I can't remember the exact reason but DVLA wouldn't issues a log book on the reg plate on the bike but we did get an age related one for it by the usual method, dating certificate etc.
