From a distance that could be mistaken for one of those 70's Italian sports mopeds (Gilera or Garelli) It looks kind of spindly and flimsy, :-\

"Duke Dastardly"!  ;D

It all reads very familiarly, including the cantankerous starting.  ;)  I suspect that the motor will have had close on £1,500 of parts go into it and then you have this man's labour on top of that.

OK! It's no a standard Duke single, but from reading the article it continues in the spirit of one, by being light weight and nimble handling, with a grunty wee motor that 'barks' a bit.  ;D

Mine is still sitting on the bench waiting to go into the frame and I don't know if the leg will take swinging the 87mm, 10:1 piston over?  :-\  I just have to have patience and hope the surgery has worked.

Thank you for posting Michael.

My regards, Bill

Exactly the same problem I have Bill, I had the tracker motor built just prior to my accident. Had a 600cc conversion with high comp piston, ported and hrc profile cam put in it so quite a trick little engine. Like my cafe racer I had the lecci boot along with all the associated mechanics removed to make the engine lighter. However I don't think my dodgey foot will be able to kick it over, luckily I have an fmx650 motor in the garage which I'm going to drop in instead.
Patience is defo the thing tho, it's just over two years since my accident and I'm still having grief with both my arm and my foot on a daily basis....
all the best with the recovery, I found a nip of a decent single malt once nightly, just before bed helped no end😁
Cheers... Michael

The 'natural' medicinal pain killer! ;)

You can see by the time stamp on this that sleeping tonight hasn't started!  ::)
