I know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that but check out the xr600 tracker on BIKE SHED site and tell me it's a nice looking bike 😝😝

It's just that exhaust, the rest isn't too bad. :o

Yes defo Steve, plus I think the tank looks a tad to small. Overall just not a balanced looking bike. (Imvho)
Ps... thanks for posting the pic up

Useless tank, no protection from whatever the front wheel throws up, a seat designed to play billiards on, the smell of BBQ'd balls.....

Give me a C90 and the time and money wasted on this "art" to go ride instead please.

Aye Andy,

As a track bike for racing it probably goes very well, providing the components have had the tuning work done on them. So, why the bother with the "road legal" clutter that gets in the way and adds weight?  ;)

As a road bike all the fitments and tuning that make it a track bike are a pain in the neck, back, arms, legs! But, the slim lines, lightweight and torquey motor are all good points. This adds up to a bike with the same problems as those with ape hangers, peanut tank, hard tail and raked forks!  ;)

So, I tend agree with your final statement "Give me a C90 and the time and money wasted on this "art" to go ride instead please."  :D

However, I'd rather use a 350cc - 650cc torquey single, with a comfy seat, supple controlled suspension and good ergonomics and spend the time on the minor roads.  ;D

Happy dawdling, bimbling, tootling, with the occasional rapid run for many years to come! Good health.

My regards, Bill

Aye, I'm starting to get a bit bored with these 'fashionable' bikes. Give me my Honda Dommie, or Armstrong MT500. I can sit all day long on them having fun on the A, B, and C roads  :)

Can I just say that I do think some of the "customs" wether they're tracker based or cafe/road bikes that are put up on These type of sites (bike shed etc) do have some excellent work done to them. However I again must agree with Andy when he says they are just art. Some of them clearly are just that. A bike was designed to be RIDDEN not put on someone's wall.
Rant over... and yes I will continue to look at such sites, and yes I will continue to draw your attention to the good ones as well the crap ones. 😁👍
Cheers... Michael
