I guess we all go through times like this, at least I hope it's not just me!
A couple of weeks ago I phoned Wheelhouse Tyres here in sunny Brummy intending to go in and get a new pair of tyres fitted to the F650. They didn't have the tyres I wanted in stock, but said they'd have them by the weekend. No problem I thought, I'll just go and get them fitted then.
Last Friday the day before I was going to go and get them fitted, the bike fried it's VR on the way home from work.

. £80 later, and after much buggering about cutting the alternator wiring back through the loom to reach a part that wasn't scorched and then repositioning the new VR and I'm back on the road

. That was yesterday.
I went to the bike club last night and was telling the lads my story and said I was finally going to get my tyres this Saturday (tomorrow). The conversation then drifted on to punctures and I rather foolishly said I'd never had a puncture in 35 years of riding. You know what's coming next don't you - yep a rear wheel puncture this morning about 2 miles from home on the way to work.

.
I managed to wobble back home - it's a bit like riding on ice really isn't it, and now have to remove the wheels myself and take the bl@@dy things to Wheelhouse in the back of the car. It's beginning to seem like I'm fated never to get new tyres.....
