Erm!  8) Not in my 'umble opinion! But then I'm feeling a bit bolshy and one man's meat is another man's poison, so if you like 'em and they work for you, crack on!  ;)

My regards, Bill

They seem to find there way onto a lot of Triumph Bonnevilles these days,One caution I would add is on the Triumphs they have an extension piece to add if you want longer shocks.....these have been known to fail on the Bonnies.. :(    I will continue to use Hagons :)

Thanks for the heads-up. I haven't fitted the 30mm extension pieces. Even though the XBR is lighter than the Bonnie, a failure of this piece due to design makes me concerned about the rest of it. I read plenty of positive reviews with these covering decent mileages, but will keep a close eye on them  :)

Just been out on a short run and am pleased as punch with the improved feel. I was impressed with the handling before, now it really is, "on rails". Here's a fuller pic, showing how well they match the comstars.

In our local parlance, that bike "looks the absolute tool", as in the dogs dangly bits  :)
I'm sure you are going to have a good summer ahead  ;)
Cool T-shirt, it nearly fits him already Michael.

One of the bikes I'm looking to sell is my Enfield, so I thought id better tidy it up, having used it over the winter. It has definitely got a bit scruffy! So I started with the front wheel, where the alloy hub was not looking good, and the rim appeared to have some rust. As my mate was replacing his rims, I thought id replace mine with one of the rims he was discarding. The one on the left in the pic is the one he was discarding, the one on the right is the mess I discovered when I removed my front tyre  :-\
Then this evening I went to collect my latest purchase, which I plan to use as a replacement for the Falcone, Enfield, and XBR, which I'm selling. Pics to follow tomorrow  ;)

I love the pipe. If it sounds even half as good as it looks. Does it come with a get out of jail free card?  ;D

Afternoon chaps..first off thanks to Matt for posting the pic of my (very) shiny new bike with my son behind it. Just got back from my second outing on said mosheen, absolutely love it, done approximately 300 miles on it now, cracking little bike. In answer to your question Matt, yes mate it does sound as good as it looks. Mega throaty n raspy indeed, plus it's mega lightweight,  unfortunately it doesn't come with the get out of jail free card, although I have ridden past about 4 parked up police cars now and non of them av pulled me in over it. I think because it doesn't have the pitch of a four cylinder bike it doesn't seem quite as offensive. I would recommend the 390 to anyone, cracking bike.
Cheers, Michael

Took a ride out to Jim Aim KTM today,Had a gander at the 125 KTM as they didn't have the new 390 in stock,Apparently the 125 and 390 are identical apart from the motor.....talk about compact and light,The only thing that put me off was the headlight (this has changed on the 2017 model).........but it turned out they had a demonstrator the same as Michaels with 1100 miles on the clock for £900 less than the new one,He was very keen to send me out on it (he has one himself),I left with the intention of going back next week for a test ride....hope the weather holds.....cant believe it has 44 bhp....awesome 8)

What a cracking day it has been.. 8)   my Brother and I took a ride down to the Ace Cafe for the BSA day (on our Triumphs  :-[ ) To say it was busy was an understatement,Some very nice bikes to gawp at....the one that made me go ..  :o was a pristine Goldstar,The fella jumped on it as I said to my brother, He must know that bike inside out...he's done his jacket up put his lid and goggles on and pulled on his gloves..how many kicks do you recon to start it,Reached under the carb for a bit then grabbed the handlebars and .......whiiiir....thump thump thump...it had a bl**dy electric start 8) 8) 8)

Put the Honda back to original spec ready for the H-P arriving on Thursday.

I also put some boards down, left over laminate flooring on left over chipboard, so I can use my bike mover seeing as it has a centre stand. I now have a very small dance floor  in the garage. Possibly needs a glitter ball or something to complete the effect?

Went out on the ktm390 along with big bro (propellor) and a good mate of ours, mainly Yorkshire dales. Helmsley, Masham, hawes, kettlewell... then back home. Now done 460 miles on the ktm, wot an absolutely cracking little bike it is, the more I ride it the more I like it. Not a typical "thumper" tho, has to be revved. Even more so than say an xbr500. Getting used to it now tho, great to be back in the saddle and getting out again.... happy daze😁🤘🏍
Cheers, Michael
