Childminding
« on: February 18, 2017, 09:51:51 AM »
So this weekend I'm expected to entertain my 11 and 9 year old niece and nephew. Luckily for them I've just discovered there's an auto jumble at Swansea Bus Museum tomorrow. Aren't I the best uncle ever ;D

you need to train them to go upto random stalls and point at stuff saying 'thats a whitworth thread, it should be a bsf' .... before sauntering away....

That would have been well funny John ;D As it turned out, I reckon they were the only people there without beards  :-\
However, it all worked out ok, as I got the young fella two batman cars, but better still, I got my niece  a selection of antique 'wad cutters' made by Priory, and also Wynn Timmins of Birmingham for £12. These are antique leather workers tools, and she will use them in her hobby of making wallets and bags out of old inner tubes. Just spied the same set on eBay for £78. It also gave me the opportunity to explain imperial measurement. Poor girl  :-\

I had my three year old grandson stay for the weekend. The doctor says the nervous twitch is nothing serious and should subside in a week or two...
