Football and Dogs
« on: February 09, 2017, 05:26:20 PM »
Yep, nothing to do with motorcycles, apart from the fact that I've yet to meet a motorcyclist who also is interested in football. On the same note, every motorcyclist I've met seems to like animals. Which leads me to a plug for my Mrs, Alison's dog rescue. If anybody wants to look at our furry friends that we currently are trying to find homes for, have a gander at Harleys Akita Haven on Facebook. Distance no problem, as we've two dogs that went as far as Sweden to find a new home! And we've had dogs go to the Dogs Trust in England. Total madness, but Ireland is like a third world country as far as animal welfare is concerned IMHO!  >:( >:( >:(

We are a largely predictable lot. Me? Love dogs [my old Boxer is coming to the end of her time but at 13 it's to be expected] hate football and played rugby, badly, for 5 years.

It's a good thing you're doing there Mrs Alison, just wish I was in a position to adopt.

So Ian, if i turned up at the Dragon this weekend, with this big lad in a sidecar, you wouldn't take him home  ;)

Ahhh now you're just playing dirty. Do you think he'd wear a crash helmet and ride pillion to get him home? 'Look what I found at the Dragon dear...........'

Got home this evening Ian, and realised we never managed to meet up at the Dragon. Apologies.

Hi Tim

Yes it was a shame, but as I put in another post, green jackets are abundant at the Dragon, as are fat limping old men [me that is not you] so I guess we both had a real job on looking for each other.

Anyway glad you got home safe and see you at the Thumper Club rally.
