Yeah, I've heard about it Steve.

One of the local councils in the London area came in for a lot of stick recently in a lot of biking forums when they got an injunction against 'groups of motorcyclists' using certain sections of roads. Their explanation was that they weren't trying to stop law abiding responsible motorcyclists riding in groups, but were targeting fnckwits like this who congregate in certain areas trying to outdo each other with their stupid stunts.

I think they should really clamp down on idiots like this, and the w@nkers who've watched 'Fast and Furious' too many times, and the morons who arrange illegal street races etc. etc. etc.

More power to their elbow I say.

Just basic anti-social behaviour currently expresed through bikes. Next time it will be back to spray paint or whatever.

When I'm dictator I'll zero the tax on Stella extra strong, release every drug dealer with a bag of laxatives to cut into their supplies and set up a BBC channel showing nothing but one never ending phone-in, win a million quid, talent show presented by witless near naked tarts who end every sentence with "innit". ****ed, stoned chavs with their mobile in one had and bog roll in the other, doing raps and break dancing for the telly won't have the energy to cause extra trouble.

Just watched the whole programme, and to be honest, I've mixed feelings. Are they any different from me, as a youngster, riding an illegal Suzuki 100, covered in black fur, with a squeezy bottle as an oil tank, shared between twenty of us kids. We didnt have any intent, whatsoever, to cause other people any hastle, and nor do these fellas. Yes, the whole Landan geezer thing is a bit weird, but I honestly believe road racers are at least as reckless. Its more an insight into an inner Land an estate. Sorry, but I don't think Bike Life is a negative thing, compared to all the other crap these youngsters could be up to.

Fair enough comments, the difference for me is that we use to it on a bit of wasteland or along one of the local bridleways or footpaths that were pretty much empty of people were as this lot are using parks and live roads, at night without lights. When someone gets hurt or something gets damaged they aren't going to hang around. Also it's one thing when you're a 'yoof' but most of this lot are old enough to have a bit more sense.

Agree with you on some of the road racers though, %$cking idiots some of them - I live in a 30 zone at the edge of the village and they regularly come down our road ( many driveways, road juctions etc) at 60-80+ >:(.....no objection to people going fast but fast in the right places and built up areas aren't the right places.

I think there are 2 main problems with this compared to in my day, the numbers of youngsters riding in groups usually 20+ and the reckless regard to the rules of the road, I have seen a few videos of these idiots riding, pulling stunts, riding on the pavement and they are not affraid of the police and block them in to stop them doing their jobs.
I was a pretty wild youth and was illegaly riding my RD250 along with 5 or 6 friends, yes we used to speed, but only on clear roads, we did pub crawls on a Sunday 1/2 pint in any pub we could find between 11.30am until 2. 30pm during our ride, but when we were in civilisation we rode the best we could as we were terrified of being cought riding illegaly. Another problem is that there is a hell of a lot more traffic on the roads to deal with now

Yep, ever put up a post under the influance, and then regret it the next day  :-\
What these guys are doing is wrong, but they could be doing much worse. If they are using empty industrial estates as their playground, then I don't see that big a problem, but if they are endangering the public, then that's a different story.

Watching the programme, I was surprised at how much the stunters said they tried to respect the police and public. However,  what they don't seem to get is that they can only do this by respecting the law everyone pays the police to enforce for their safety. Trying to justify their stunts by saying at least they're not out doing drugs or robbing, is saying I'm breaking this law, which is better than breaking that one. I did feel for the police during their clampdown operation which saw loads of them giving the lad's scooter the free MoT and finding all it had was a misaligned front wheel whilst he had all the proper paperwork! I got the feeling, the documentary maker was on the side of the stunters. Kids aren't worried about parents, teachers or police, so we're still on the slide in that respect IMO.

Problem is that for every one of these dickheads claiming the moral high ground with their fatuous pseudo-ethics there's a dozen more copying them without the brains they were born with. I live in Nottingham and we definitely have a growing number of chavs riding off-road bikes on the road ilegally with no regard to anyone else. Hit them hard and now I say and stop them besmerching the name of honest motorcyclists.

im a bit indiferent to this, whatever you think about the film and those featured in it, you have to remember that if the producers set out to prove that the country is overrun with bike gangs terrorising the public, then thats the story they tell. there have always been knobheads tearing round on bikes, i was once one of them, and i bet a lot of you were too, ok, back then it was a honda step thru on a dirt track or a small bike on an abandoned strip of tarmac. a generation before it was spotty oiks on bantams or rebels without a cause on a triton. its a media obsession, i mean, its not like they could make a show demonising gangs of black kids or asian teens, so it picks up on the next best thing, a gang of young bad lads with a non racial, non sectarian bond. its the turn of bikers again now, 5 years back it was minimotos, and 5 years earlier it was jet skis, in between its been car cruisers, unruly bmx riders, off road mountainbikers, you name it, its been a media story. and its really no worse or better than it has been before, aside from now, in the era of instant media, its easier to make anyone a devil or a genius at the click of a smartphone. ive had dealings with lads like this in the past, they were a pain in the arse, but they were mostly harmless, theyre just blowing off some steam, i think folks watch stuff like this and forget that they were ever young. and who here hasnt watched it and even if only a little, felt a pang of envy at their ability to loft the front wheel and hold it there as they carve through the traffic?
