GB IOM
« on: April 20, 2016, 07:53:14 PM »
Hi fella`s. Although the GB isn`t a project I thought I`d put it in this section since I want / need to do a few jobs on it before the test?
I think I know what the parking light situation is. I filled my new battery with acid tonight and fitted it to the bike. The lights are on all the time, hence no need for a light switch on the right hand switchgear. There is NO front parking light but when the ignition switch is turned to "P" and keys removed, the rear light is illuminated....this all makes sense as you are supposed to park pointing the same way as the traffic flows.  ;) My mates little VFR400 is the same. Everything else worked including the side stand light.
The tank is now off, heading to the bodyshop probably Friday  :-\

Good luck with her! What was the estimate for the repaint? Should I fetch a chair first!?

I`m messing with the headlight at the moment but WTF`s going on now?? The right front indicator is lit all the time?? only with the ignition on. It`s not lit bright but it`s lit?  It flashes normally when indicating right...any ideas? Cheers

Sticking with the original colour, or going with something else?

Hi Matt. Yeah, keeping it original if I can. The boys took the colour code of it and found a colour swatch, greeny blue they called it?  ??? In the book it looked ok but putting the swatch to the bike, it was a mile out. I did question the colour name.... greeny blue just didn`t sound right  :o Honda call it (to my knowledge) Black Green Pearl, which makes more sense as although they look black, in the sun there`s also green present.  8) So I`ve emailed the paint supplier to see when my paint will arrive, should have been here last Thursday  :'(

Paint still not arrived for tank  >:( >:( when I emailed the company they said the payment hadn`t gone through, they tried it again and this time it did .... it took two weeks for them to tell me  >:( >:( >:( I`m beginning to wonder if this little bike`s jinxed  :-\ On a more positive note, I sold the crate it came in for £50 today (paint virtually paid for) result  ;)
