Waste of decent components. Why is it that some persons think that they can make a better bike than the big manufacturers?. This person probably works at a breakers yard. Waste of a good Honda frame and engine. Swing arm too long. Footpeg positions not moved, I would suggest a very uncomfortable riding position. .........................and the tank, c'mon who's kidding who?
Heap of crap if you ask me.

Ya do realise that this is the "chatter" section and NOT the RANT section. Still say it's a nice special and who says the guy/guys who built it said it was a better bike than a factory honda. I didn't see any such claim. Maybe he/they just like building something that is a tad different, however I also realise that some people just can't/won't accept change/different ;) ;)

Definitely different, not sure if I like it or not  :-\
My mate reckons the whole cafe racer thing only has about another year to run. But he doesn't like them at all. Me, I don't know. Is it a fad like full blown hard tail chops? Discuss  ;)

I like it, but I don't love it. Personally, I don't think the single sided swingarm looks right on this machine. It might have with a more slinky looking welded up tube job. Now that would have been impressive.

I don't exactly go along with the "waste of good components" sentiment, although I can see maybe what is meant. The components used are overkill for sure and spoil the machine visually for me. But if that's what the guy wanted then hats off. I agree about the footrests. Poor positioning and a lack of imagination.

We are being critical, but you create something different for a few reasons. One reason is to look different. So you invite comment. That's the name of the game.

Most things bike related are kind of fads I think. The present "cafe racer" bubble will burst at some point. But, hopefully, when it does it might morph into something else maybe a little less pigeon holed. Although to be fair there's a lot of specials get lumped into the "cafe racer" category because there's no other easy way to categorise them. "Streetfighter" is so passé! Neo streetfighter? Custom smacks of blinded up hogs.  ;D

My last post was aimed at the OP, not Steve's post. I'm wary of Photoshop customising. All well and good but let's see the finished result.

No problem with folks modifying their bikes - each to their own, but to my eye a good cafe racer - wether factory or home brewed- needs a certain flowing line and balance. A lot of these 'radical' cafe racers lately just don't have it, they look like someone has raided the parts bins. No disrespect to the builders, as I said each to their own, but they just don't work for me.

Had one of these about 10 years ago. Great bike, plenty of power. Had to sell it, frightened myself too many times. Would like it back in the garage, if only to sit and look at it.

They ruined a usable bike to make second rate derivative art.
