Camping weekend fun moment
« on: August 18, 2013, 02:51:40 PM »

What are the chances? You sit outside a cafe in a small Welsh town, an electric car (Renault Twizy) pulls up, the woman gets out, sees your interest and offers you as many goes as you want to transport you and the three kids in your care up and down the village street. Bloody magic!

Not a bad little vehicle as it happens, like a flash golf buggy, but nippier and better equipped.

3 kids? I thought they were a single seat thing.

One Kid at a time, so she let me have three drives in total. What a nice woman  :)

There was no safety compromise, there is a passenger seat behind the driver, complete with seat belt. You're not going to get a big passenger in there though and their legs go either side of the driver (snug  ;))

Getting back onto safer ground, I think there's a lot of merit in these small, urban vehicles. After all who need a big, petrol heavy car just to pop to work in rush hour? I think as my years advance I could be persuaded to drive something like that to work in the weather and just use the bikes for fun.
