Great day
« on: May 18, 2013, 06:01:15 PM »
Tomorrow, weather permitting, I will be taking Dylan (11) out on the back of the bike for his first proper ride on a solo. The XBR is just right for little legs and the purchase of a bargain pair of Prexport boots in his size (£5.99!) has convinced his neurotic mother that he will be ok.

I'll report back on how he enjoyed it (or not).

Start them young. I used to take my son all over on my XBR and before that he and his sister shared space in my sidecar attached to a BSA A10. Mind you he's 33 and 6'3 now so wouldn't fit too well on my GN400!

Be careful with the weight of the helmet on the neck of children.

The muscles of children's neck are not as efficient and strong as adult ones. Enjoy riding with your children in security.

What's even more scary Steff is that the little daughter I was camping with at Llantony when I first met you guys is 19, just finishing her first year of art college and zooms around Cardiff in a Mazda 3  :o

Didn't manage to get out yesterday, with or without child. I had to do some jobs on the house and then his mother stole him for a day at the beach.

Blimey!! :o

You must be getting really old GC...

I was amazed what a good kid she was, so grown up, and keeping a caring eye on dad's well being.
