OOOOOOHHHH ....I like this one!! :P :P :P

Is the Tempter a GN400 variation? or perhaps a sleeved down Savage?

Looks like the latter I think Steve. Could be a nice bit kit!

Originaly looked like this one available on FleaBay at present:

FleaBay_Lot_290677455368

Japanese have gone wild with the Ducati 750SS seat, side panels, fairing and a 'Conti', customisation route.

thats a savage motor for sure, which makes me wonder why they bothered! the 650 savage was a gutless powerless waste of metal, making it 30% smaller in capacity and i assume performance whilst maintaining the weight seems like a complete waste of effort to me. customisingone seems like the very defenition of polishing a turd! not that its a bad looking bike, cos its not, but why start with such an underwhelming base bike.

I assume the 400cc size is to comply with the Japanese market - I seem to remember that once they go above 400cc in Japan bikes get horrendiously expensive to run either insurence or something similar hence GB400, SR400 etc etc.

Still a very nice looking custom though...who cares how fast it will go if it looks like it's doing 100mph parked outside the cafe!

The Honda CB 400 SS is not bad too.

It's possible to ride one on the PS2 Game named Tourist Trophy. Less than 8 mn on the Nurburgring Nordschleife ... with the SR 400 racer.
A very good game. Unfortunately the real IOM circuit is not include.

by that logic all the brit boys would have left their gold stars in the shops and caff racered m21's,,,, i mean, suzuki also make the drz400, also a 400cc four stroke single, but a rev happy high performance engine, given the choice, which of the two would you pick for a caff racer build?

A Tempter for a more classic look and to give the opposition a chance. ;D

A good friend of mine rides one...bought off fleabay for more than I would have liked to pay but he loves it....soft engine (similar to the 650 but chain drive).
What about the 4LS front brake?

That's weird... My 'Tempter" has two of those ribbed thingies next to each other with 2 carbies and exhausts.

Suzuki are good at re engineering names.   Savage: TS 250  and LS650  too
Hustler was used twice too.

i dont think its a stock suzuki model, more an aftermarket custom job.
