no claims bike to car???

been a biker all my life 33 now and never had interest in 4 wheels but now im thinking of taking my car test if after i pass do you know if as i have 7 years no claims on my bikes can i use that on a new car insurance ?

Probably not.....but I think Carole Nash do a 6 wheel policy but I dont know if NCD is transferable between 2 and 4 wheels.

the way i see it if i sell my 350 clipper and buy a mv i still have my 7 years ncb so just cos my new car has 4 wheels why should i have to start with 0 ncb as i in myself have earned 7 years !!! but saying that i know how the dirty under handed bastards work !

It is normally the case that NCD is NOT transferrable.... though, it's a competative market, so you might find a sympathetic ear... Try Adrian Flux (they run Bikesure) I've always found them amenable.

Bear in mind.... have an incident for which a claim is made...on either type of vehicle... and it'll have to be declared to BOTH policy suppliers...and it'll fudge up BOTH NCD's..... how wonderful is that!!

if you get a classic care, you an get classic insurance like i have on my bikes. my insurance is a classic bike policy, its fully comp and covers 2 bsas my bmw and 3 katanas, 180 quid fully comp. car policies for classics are cheap too. they dont give you an ncd every year, but theyre cheap enough to start  with and  fully comp will be cheaper than tpo on a modern car policy.

Agree with the above......but bare in mind.
As happened to me recently got a 2000 Suzuki Jimny to go with my 1982 Land Rover.
Couldn't add the Jimny to my existing Policy as it was Classic so took out a new one for Jimny.
Despite having 8yrs NCB on the Landy and several years before that with a "Modern" car. I had to take out another policy and start from scratch without any NCB.
Luckily access to another 4 Wheeled vehicle(works van) went in my favour and I had some NCB on new policy,but with proof from employer of NCB.
