A Moto3 inspired thought

Has anyone put on of these new thumper engined racers (either 250 or 450) on the road yet?

I know you can buy full conversion kits to turn your thumper off-roader into a track bike, but surely someone has opted for an enduro motor and fitted lights?

Nice idea, 450cc road legal gp bike :)  A similar idea this xt500 racer, it could easily be converted to road use         http://classicbikes.actieforum.com/t2565-xt500-racer-project

or

Piccy

Very nice, but suggest a chain and only one disc up front really necessary. Even lighter!!!!! ;)

A 450 like these ?

Oh yes, that will do nicely  :)

You could ruin the ego of lots of Fireblade and R1 owners... on a road with absolutely no straights  ;)

And who remembers this great bike from the late 80s? Mark Forsyth's mental Spondon Rotax

back in the days of the supermonos on the island, the tool of choice was an rgv250 chassis with a dr 750 or dr800 big enduro bike engine fitted in it. there were plenty made, so im fairly sure that some must have made it to the rd, especially as the doror rgv would have started with a v5 to begin with.
