looks lovely but as someone who has owned and built more than his fair share of outfits over the years, that chair is pretty impractical for 95% of the time you will be using it.

????

It's a luggage platform when you need to carry things like big tents or crates of beer or firewood, it's got a seat (unlike mine) for anyone who wants lift, it'd take ten minutes with a jigsaw to knock up sides and carry a dog. The whole outfit is light and powerful with good ground clearance and space for the passenger to earn their keep on the . Can't see anything else you could possibly want short of Duodrive type stuff and a built in cocktail cabinet.

Yes i still have the Ten, but it will be up for sale soon to pay for my other toys and top up the war fund to keep the solicitor at bay  :o. Where are these chairs to be had Julien? I am looking at outfits on E-bay and you dont get much decent for under 4K by the look of it? Why not spend that (when i sort the spare cash out...) and get that chair on the black Tiger put on mine which i know is a good bike?

we looked at one, but it wasnt really much use. the passenger got just as wet as on the bike, you cant take the kids in it cos its not that secure, its a bit open for keeping them snug and dry. i suppose on the rare occasion you take it offroad, its handy cos the passenger if they were so inclined could lean out and help things stay on an even keel. but as most outfits are used as practical transport, aside from keeping the bike upright, i cant see these having any more advantages over a solo bike. we ended up with an oxford, it was stable warm dry and could be used for carting all sorts of stuff with you if needed or just transporting two or more warm and dry  and thus happy contented children. cos nothing is gonna put the kids off bikes quicker than a regular soaking with rain.

Ahhhh!,

i see what you are on about now,not practical for kids and keeping warm and dry and snug.................Duh! 100% not,

it might not be practical for those of us that just want to take kids on a jolly,or use as an off road chair although i have :P(15%),

all outfits are practical no matter how big, small ,wide one seat no seats or 4,i don't know how many kids you have?,i take it more than one, but for you to even

look at the ETH was a bit dull in the first place,

whats not practical for you doesn't mean its not practical for the next guy who doesn't have to consider anyone but himself and all the crap he wants to carry,

an Oxford would be to big for me and therefore not dare i say it practical

Best outfit is attached to your mates bike. That way he can carry the beer & gear and you get to play.  ;D

Nowt wrong/impractical with Sexual's set-up. Had a lovely ride and brought 5 sacks of firewood back to camp. Result!

I rode a lot of combos in the 70's, nearly every cheap old british bike I bought came with a chair, they ranged from the ladder rack on a Panther to the old busses most plunger A10's seemed to have. I always got some scaffold boards and nailed together a box, perfect for carrying 6 pissed greasers from one pub to another;-) I carried 20 bags of cement for a mate, flattened the tyres out and was almost impossible to steer, but we didn't have a car and had to get the cement;-)
German info you can probably get if from a classic bike forum member, think his names ash, he owns a hotel in Hertz[?] mountains, pics of his place always have a load of bikes in the pictures.
That black tiger makes me want a combo.

Hi all, I have no interest in sidecars (well not yet), but I went to the Guzzi Quota Rally in Denmark this year and a German, living in St Petersberg came across with his 6yr old son on a Guzzi Quota 1100 with a German made chair that was attached by two Rod end bearings (about 20mm bolts), one in front of the engine and one behind the gearbox, on a subframe. On the rideout on Sunday, there was another German with a conventionally mounted chair and following both on the twisty roads, the pivoting chair looked so much more stable over the dips and bumps on the paved roads. He also said that it took about 10mins to remove the chair, and his lad was happy as well.

True, but...... you need a monkey to keep in on the road... and even then :o

I got really wet and cold in this chair.  :-X

I had several chairs. Most of them family rigs. The one that does it all, doesn´t exist. So I think I will be changing mine again. It will be an AUS. All Use Sidecar. Instead of a Family, Dual Sport, Winter, Summer, Off-Road, RTW, ADV or whatever.

It will have to go 100 Mph on the Autobahn, it will have to be able to carry at least one adult completely dry and warm in the chair, it will have a lot of luggage space, it will have to be able to tow a trailer and it will have to be able to go down the elephant site in 2 feet of snow and up again, without any worries (2WD). I´ve got the basis. But still a lot of work.

An AUS Sidecar doesn´t exist yet, that´s what I try to say.
