I wish we had a picture of the Kettle Club stand so that I could illustrate the huge disparity between our stand and theirs in terms of thought and effort. However, they are £500 better off and we got zero.

Im sure Mortons will be happy to show off the winning stands in CMM later in the year.... ::)

Ah Mortons sounds like BAE Systems...only see what they want to see (or who pays them the most............oops)

Maybe next year (if you can be bothered to do it after the kick in the balls by Mortons this year), the Thumper Club should "push the boundaries" a little. A nice and PC/humourous way of showing Mortons the middle finger, Satan standing up with a "Mortons employee of the year award" badge.

Or am I being cynical in my old age???

LOL  ;)

I have to say that it's probably not the fault of the organisers (at least not directly). They have always been very pleasant and helpful during our dealings. However, when I collared the organiser and said that the result had asked us to question whether or not it was worth making the effort again, she said "Well if you do drop out then let us know as we have plenty of clubs wanting a club stand". Which tells us where we are in the pecking order.

There is nothing like having one's pond life status on the food chain pointed out to one, I find.
