Intro

Hi all!

I just wanted to stop and say hello and find out if there is some like minded pips in the area.

I'm currently working on a single powered Cagiva Mito after having serious DR800 withdrawal symptoms (and also picking up the Mito for peanuts). All I need is a engine and lots of mucking about fitting it in the frame and getting it to work then I can finally get off the medication!

I'm looking for something 600cc plus, but of course a DR800 lump would be perfect.

If there is anyone local to Northampton i'd love to hear from you for general social stuff and i'm always willing to loan out my engineering skills when needed.

Hoping everyone's rides are sunny and diesel free!

Hi Boatloader,
Welcome to the nuthouse! Like minded revellers are always good to see especially ones with obvious sklills as you seem to have, (otherwise why attempt your present project). Keep us all informed with updates/photos etc. There is always some sort of help available if you need and Im sure we will be able to pick your brains at some point.
Stafford show is looming very fast now, so if you can make it there, a warm welcome will await you.

Best Regards

Ian :)

Hi Ian.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I promise to post regular photos with supporting blurb once things really get under way with the project.

My brains are always ready to be picked if anyone' struggling. Would hate to think of anyone banging their head against the wall for the sake of asking a question or two.

I can't see me making the Stafford show unless the money fairy pays me a visit  :( , but i'll do my best.

Thanks again.

Steve.  :D

Hi Steve.

Yes I know there's so many Steves about, it makes you wonder if there was sort of Steve naming incentive years ago.

I can honestly say I do not own any Land Rover parts or camping stuff of any kind (yet) and I live in Northampton which is more towards the east. I lived for a year in Bristol, does that count?  ???

Ok where do I start?

I'm not likely to go near a side-car again after the braked when I should have accelerated cornering incident.  :'(

I'm not into burning too much Petroleum (costs too much these days), but I am slowly collecting parts to make a bio-ethanol distillery!

I've not done archery since I was still at school and I think i'd rather spend the time on the bike.
"Loonie bin", ah you must stop by my house sometime to find your new benchmark. We was going to call the next house "Arkham"..  :D

Favourite weather girl? Mmmmm I don't trust any weather forecaster's and besides if I even glance at another woman my other half is likely to start another hate campaign!!  ;D
