Just watched the charioteers............ bluddy fantastic.. not seen such good racing for years... and the camera coverage .. truly awesome.. pity the comentators couldn't be a bit more clued up.
we should have more chair racing on tv.... it's such a good spectacle....

couldn't agree more. absolutely loving the onboard from the chair. looks like the world is in fast forward :) Nothing personal against the itv4 comentary team, in fact i do find them quite entertaining, especially Witham, but you can't help but wonder how good it would be with the Moody / Ryder double act on board.

Fantastic. I usually prefer the solos over ther chariots but that was a briliant race. Those sidecar lads must be bonkers. I generally think the commentary is pretty good although the pre-race waffle can be a bit dull. I like Guy Martin but I'm not sure if I need to see him cringeing in front of a room full of school kids for 10 minutes.

I'd quite like to see Hutchy do a bit more commentary just for hoots.

Never been to the TT and not sure that I'd want to given the excellent coverage on ITV4. Now if the ferry prices were a bit more reasonable that might be a different matter.

The I-o-M steam packet co are total rip off merchants, you can take your whole family (granny, grandad, cat, dog etc) with a caravan, over to the island on non TT/Manx weeks for the same price as you and your bike during the racing weeks. I wrote to them and complained, said I wouldn't go again because of the ferry prices...... no response..... why should they..... they are fully booked every year, even with extra ferries.

The IoM is a gorgeous place to go to. We went the week after the TT in 2002 (which had been cancelled due to foot & mouth) and it is so nice there. Met a few prats who thought the TT was still on, but otherwise such a pleasant place to bimble around. The view from the top of Snaefell mountain was awesome as we had lovely sunny weather.

I have been cogitating about taking the family there by plane and hiring a car (sorry) for a holiday. Just need to pluck up courage to check the price...
