Down and out in Perth

I am currently stuck at home after a very close inspection of the bitumen surface 100 meters from home.
I guess the driver of the utility did not see me (He told me so.) as he drove it out backwards onto the road. All I can say is reversing lights can be very harrowing when they are coming at you.
outcome:  Honda Swing... 4 body panels damaged
me:          stuffed ankle, not broken, but very swollen and sore, stuffed knee with minor gravel rash, and a painfully dislocated shoulder....and learning to do everything left handed.

Ouch! sorry to hear that Kurt. Thankfully you weren't too badly hurt. I got tail ended on the XBR while stationary at a roundabout by a young lass last year (she too didn't see me!) so I can sympathise. Hope you're back riding again soon.

I am sorry to hear of you misfortune. Look on the bright side, crinkley as you are, you will heal.  So get on with getting better you old bugger...

Sorry to read of your 'nasty'! ??? I hope the soft tissue mends and that full service is resumed very shortly. I'm still a touch sore having fallen off a 2" step outside the local Post office, sustaining gravel rash and a real thump on the knee cap.

APPLY ARNICA CREAM COPIOUSLY TO THE BRUISED AREA AND SURROUND, BUT NOT TO ANY BROKEN SKIN! supposed to do it ASAP after the incident, but I've found it very effective even after delayed application. Takes the heat, swelling and bruising out of the soft tissue and a cold compress of a bag of frozen peas wrapped in an old towel, will aid the efficacy.

Bloody utes are for the bush, not poncing about in suburbier! :( :( :( When is he going to find the next sand dune in his drive????

All the best, Kurt. Here's to a speedy recovery. At least you'll have something to do tweezing gravel out of your knees while you're waiting for your shoulder to heal  ;)

I'll second the Arnica - it's great stuff and it smells nice  :)

look mate....you're sitting there on your big ass waiting to get better....and doing bu55er all!
you sunshine, are officer I/C humour section...and as such there's been little or no activity of late, simply not good enuff!
hunting down and posting some good material (and I have to admit, your offerings are usually top quality), will have the double benefit of cheering you up and keeping us amused.....
so get a bluddy grip...

Thanks for all your support. I appreciate that I havent been too funny lately and have been preoccupied with other events here and in Melb.  This just seems to top it off.
