Ok, whats this?
« on: November 28, 2010, 12:46:46 PM »
OK, all you single's officiados,  I spotted this at our local Classic car & bike show a couple of months ago. I'd never even heard of them.

Anyone want to guess what it is?  All I'll tell you is that it was commercially available, not a special and there are only 2 in the UK.

Flanged alloy rims, tasty front brake and cute styling say 'Italian', but I just don't know what it is. It's not one of those oddities badged as a Sears and Roebuck in the States is it?

Bits of it remind me of a Zundapp, but that was a stroker.

I was idly googling 'Zundapp' and I saw this...

Not Morini but close ( I thought Morini when I first saw it).

The engine manufacturer sold bikes with singles, twins (2&4 stroke), various 4's and.......

Benelli 175 from about 1960? The engine is similar to the one pictured in Mick Walkers Classic Italian Gallery.

I guessed Italian.....was going to say possibly MV.

Till the clue was given...and agree Benelli.
Laverda didnt make 4's and only one 6.

Notice the two rear sprockets.....quick change of ratios....on and off road !

Engine is a Benelli 250 ( well most of the bike is Benelli). But the bike hails from the USA......
