Anyone know about these?
« on: July 23, 2010, 08:25:38 AM »
Killing time the other night whilst oiling my leathers and supping some perry I happened across this gem of a programme on BBC4. Scoot to around 12.09 and behold, the mighty outdoors outfit!

Genius. What would the top speed be? 20-20mph? Who knows, all I know is there is some fine knitwear and a rather charming skiff being shown. Lovely.
I may also want one, but not on a scooter.

The wonders of the British wanderers.

The sidecar looks like an early version of the Watsonian "Bambini".
(I mounted one on a T500.)

The boat looks like a small sabot. Over here in Oz they had these in a class called "Manly Midgets" for training kids in the art of sailing on Sydney Harbour

I would love to find out details on that camper van though.

Sadly I'd be more interested in the scooter.

Was shown as part of a BBC series about the British love of the great outdoors. Well worth a watch and quite funny!

TV 175 Series 1(?) and Watsonian Bambini.

My Father had a TV175 Series 2 with Bambini.
Bumped the sidecar with me in it,so had to get another chair.
So bought a BSA Sunbeam with Bambini, just for the chair.
We had the old body in the garden for a while.Great for an 8 year old to play in  ;D ;D
