I've got the day off on Friday so hope to be on site early afternoon. Will try and secure the spot we've had previously. For those of you who have not been with us before, or like my good self are losing grey cells at an alarming rate, here are some rough directions:

  • imagine you are looking at the front of the main hall
  • go left towards the camping field until you come to the boundary hedge (approx. 400yds)
  • we will hopefully be up against the boundary hedge about 50yds. to the right of a small brick built entrance/ticket booth
  • if we are lucky we will be immediately to the left of the barred gate and access drive
  • look out for my Welsh flag and XTZ660 Tenere

Hope that makes sense
I will leave my mobile on  07971-051266

We have a stand on the balcony on the opposite side to our usual pitch, in the little section next to the restaurant. Stand number B109.

My mob number is 07866 525054 if anyone gets stuck.

Great weekend! Well one night for me ;) Good to see some old faces and a few new ones. Seemed to be a lot of people asking about the club so that is good.

Nice to meet you all and finally put names to faces! Lovely to see an SRX-6 get a highly commended, guess dad (Ian650) will have to think up of another weird and wonderful hybrid to put to the judges for the next time...

Apologies for only showing my face on Friday & Sunday afternoon, but I have other responsibilities at the weekend, next year I'll look at booking the following week off so no-one can complain :-)

Cheers,

Si

Hi, good to meet a few of you on Saturday.
I hope you all had a good weekend. You will be pleased to hear Leah that 'Eeyore' started 1st kick every time (carefully planned, ran into the petrol station, no take away and not many people stood around watching when I left)
I will be sending a membership form,
Thanks Chrisine

Not a bad weekend, nice to meet up with new and old, spent loads, ate loads but didn't drink too much.

A good stand with some cracking bikes and a well deserved 'highly commended' for Leahs'

Yep! I agree with the other posts. Very good weekend, no hassle, like minded souls, lots of bikes, few beers, and a bit of camping with just enough frost to make it interesting. Hope you all got home OK and maybe see some of you again soon.

I too agree with the other posts. The weather was great a little chilly at times but bright sunshine all weekend. 1st time to the show for me and i was amazed quite how big the show was and the numbers who attended. Well done to Leah for her award thoroughly deserved it. Hope to catch up with most of you at the Dragon.

'twas a goodly weekend and with some bits for Abigail chucked in for good measure. Thanks all for your company.

Here's one for the philosophers... Searched high and low for some frame protector rubbers (split rubber tubes you put on the frame to protect it from tanks/seat humps) that cost a fortune (£2.50 each!). Been in the shed tonight to fit them to Abigail and I don't like the look of them!

Heyho! More for the scrap bin.

Im sorry I was unable to attend this show, esp after campaigning  :-[ Thanks to Simon (Max724) for taking the reins on the hybrid and ensuring it got there eventually after Mr Mowbray told me there wasnt room for the bike (it/him/her?). Well done to Leah for flying the flag so ably for the club and sincere congrats. (Pm me Leah..you know what about!) Many thanks for all the hard work done by all concerned to get a stand at probably THE biggest classic bike show in the country. If anyone has a few photos of the bikes and the stand I would appreciate a copies of them if you are able to email me (ian650 at hotmail dot com)
Roll on the next one and I do hope I will be able to put a wee bit more effort in next time (damn holidays getting in the way!)

Ian :)

PS If anyone is going to the Classic Car and Bike Show at the NEC next month, the hybrid is due to make (another) appearance in the "Pride of Ownership" section (Private Entries) November 12th to 14th. :D

I agree with all the posts above, it was a great weekend and I enjoyed it enormously (although blagging entry for Leah's bike into the locked building was stressful  ::))

Great company, good show and another rosette for a bike on the TC stand.

Thanks you to all who attended for all your hard work and unbroken good cheer.
