I agree with you about the G80CS and I think you'll enjoy this site:
G85CSUsed to have a '53 AJS 18S as my sole form of transport, it's still about according to the DVLA records. Went from the sublime to the gor' blimey when I sold it and bought a Duke 450 to do the same job in '76!

Still have the Duke. Different beast with not the same 'plonk' as the AJS.
SRX6 is regular bit of kit these days and whilst it can move along nicely, because it is 'short stroke' will never achieve the same 'plonk' as the AJS. Also the aircooled single with a single spine frame is much better to 'get at'

The lingo is not pleasant when trying to adjust the tappets or remove the plug on an SRX.

Beam alloy frames are just the pits, in my opinion (shan't be humble about that one

More snow overnight up here, but largely melted away by midday. Off to sort the tappets in the SRX.
