Bonded Aluminium...

Years ago I had some double glazing that had a bonded ally panel in the bottom of the door.  Nice idea and knew where to get the ally from if I needed more (worked for the company who made it).  NOw I have no idea, but I have a 2 panel glazed door that I wish to replace one glazed panel with some nice high R rated bonded stuff.

Any ideas where I may be able to get it from?

Find a firm that does commercial glazing, I used to work for one and we used to bin loads of it after refurbs.

Is this the sort of stuff they used in a Star Trek Movie? Scotty kept refering to it as "transparent alumiNUM". It was used to catch a couple of whales. They cant spell either!
