I admit that I was surprised by the SP370 being the object of desire! 
However, having known of one with less than 8K miles on the clock, nothing would surprise me! 
The 'Charioteer' obviously finds them attractive.

It was my first 'big' thumper - 1983ish ?. Low miles and near perfect condition. Really nice engine - better in my opinion than the 400cc that followed it, pretty quick and very economical - I once managed 100MPG on a leisurely plod around Norfolk and never less than 70MPG. Handled beautifully, you could really throw it into corners ( especially when I fitted road tyres!). Only downside was really crap lights (6v) ...it should have been sold with a long stick for feeling your way after dark!
I eventually traded it for my first BMW. Sadly the d!ckhead that bought it went off roading on private land , got it stuck in a ditch and when he came back with some mates to drag it out it had been torched...shame.
Lots of good memories with that bike.......
