Dakar rally

Hi Im a new member and am doing the Dakar rally in Jan 2010 (South America).  I was told to try and contact someone called Graham who might be interested in helping me out with abit of sponsorship and id find him on this forum.  Are you out there Graham??  We have 3 weeks before the bikes go to Le Harve and things are well hectic.  At the mo i am in Wales getting the fairing set up and test riding with Si Pavey in Glyn Neath.  If anyone is interested i have a website. www.tamsinjonesdakar.co.uk or you can email me at tamzjones@yahoo.co.uk.

The back story to this is that in the pub last night a bloke called Louse told me about the Daker bike he had been working on and the rider who was trying to do the Daker off her own back and on her own. When he said that she was using a 450 single I said that perhaps the club could make a donation towards her costs (which isn't saying much as it's costing her thousands and we aren't rich).

Well done to her I say, such spirit deserves our support. Put it this way, I'd rather see £200 of club funds buy us a sticker on her bike and an article or two than on a roller blind advertising stand for [possible] future bike shows.

And yes we should have a whip round or some from coffers if there is any.
