Even in one of my most misty-eyed moments, when all reason gives way to sentiment, I wouldn't consider taking on a project Sanglas. They are not exactly a high point of build quality.

Mate of mine had one, never saw it running though!They are a bit like an Enfield speedwise apparently and don't handle too bad. He had problems with the oil pump( read knackered) He sold the remains plus most of another one for around £400, so there are demented folk out there.

Short answer - YES! I've got a 500 S2 sanglas, circa 1978 on the road and all nice.... anyone else sanglas-y on here, drop me a line!
