Is there a cure?

A little tale:

Once upon a time there was a motorcyclist who liked multi-cylinder machines.  Then one day he found himself pinned under 600lb of Bavarian Flying Brick after it slipped off the ramp into his shed.  "Sod this for a lark!" was a cleaned up version of his comments at this inauspicious meeting of man and machine.

Soon after he found himself swapping the lardy Germanic B*tch for the lithe and lovely Miss Whiplash:

who was everything he needed in two-wheeled transport, slim, light(er than a bloody BMW), and a whole heap of fun on twisty backroads.  All was well.

Two years passed and a chance conversation with a fellow member of the local bike forum led to the acquisition (for next to bugger all) of Miss W's baby brother Arfur:

(XBR=Excalibur, King Arthur's sword & 500cc='Arfur' litre - I know, I'm just going...)

Now the motorcyclist found that there were two types of machine that were just as much fun as each other on the roads he travelled, sitting up & looking over hedges or crouching down and skimming boots off tarmac.  Unfortunately, the motorcyclist had a proper education and knew that zero, one and infinty lots are the only sensible numbers in the universe, so two is either too many or not enough (and you can guess which way he's leaning!).

At last we come to the point ..... is this addiction something easy to shake off (like I did with fags 10 years ago), or am I destined to thump my way into financial ruin and possible marital suicide?  Is there somewhere I can go to stand up and say "My name's KirriePete and I'm a Thumper-aholic"?

Thank you for your time - this post was sponsored by being stuck in the office on Easter Monday with no problems to sort - dear G*d, I'm bored!

Any of the meets where club members are there  ;) annual meet up, Dragon Rally, often the Elefantentreffen and some others for good measure!
Oh and no, you can't kick it... but the risk of ruining one of them by attaching a chair is high  :P
(Just don't ask mt how I know... I just know, OK?  :o ;) )

Kirriemuir by any chance?

Enjoy them anyway  ;D

Aye, up at the Ladywell if your from Kirrie! ;D

Often round and through the Glens, Sidlaws, etc on the 'minor' roads! Skimming the tarmac, ducking pheasants, swerving around Dundee Cycle Club and the glar spreading antics of the Tayside and Strathmore tattie growers. Alyth chippie in the square is "No bad" these days either. If I see the identikit motorcycles, I'll stop for a blether! ::) ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz!

Financial ruin is a possibility, as is marital suicide! :o However, my wife is a convert and has her own machine(s). :-*

Like the bikes as well, but Wiers in Perth has now shut, if you ever used them for genuine spares.

Kind regards, Bill.
