hmmmm... forum back now!  oh well!

Re. the weather, 8miles outside london (once at the end of the road) no problems this morning, roads were a bit slippy but reasonably clear.  And  busses!  But enough vehicles around to keep the road wet but not quite frozen.

However, inside the congestion zone, there were few cars, no busses, not a lot of delivery trucks.  And the whole place was like an icerink!!  Roads, pavements.  Much easier to ride in the deeper snow at the side of the road.

Very nearly went ar5e over t1t a few times, normally infront of snowball wielding kids off of school.  Who looked about 19...   ;D

I have a trail bike (Gas-Gas Pampera) that I usually ride in snowy conditions (it has mud-tyres on and they're good in snow) however it's part dismantled at the moment so I decided against heading out on two wheels this morning.

The main roads in Edinburgh aren't too bad but the side roads are pretty much uncleared and I doubt I'd have got to the end of my street without dropping a road-bike.

Well I'm just hacked off. Four inches plus of fine white powder, next to no traffic and the bar stewards at work go and have a delivery problem that's kept me on the phone all day  >:(

Still, 98% ready for the dragon and it should still be there on Friday  ;D

got knocked of the c90 at about 15mph by a snowball.

i apprehended the fat 14yr old repsonsible (too young to give a hiding). on meeting his mother she mouthed off at me for holding onto her sons jacket to stop him hitting me.

no 'sorry', no 'are you okay?'- just abuse. on riding back 15 minutes later the same chubby moron was back out playing in the snow.

his mother didn't even seem intersted in telling him off. i've never felt so frustrated and pi**ed off at the state of this country.

Now that IS vexing! >:( Pity there was no hawthorn or holly hedge to 'slip over' into with said miscreant head first! :-X

Maybe, an offer of parenting instruction and a comment about the malodourous state of the womens breath, might have releaved the bile in your throat. I suspect a pile inducing kick up the jacksie of the 'chubby moron' would have proved more satisfying, but expensive. Custodial sentence for brutality to 'defenceless minors'! :-X

Revenge will be sweet at the ballot box! ;D and with a clear conscience. ;)

Now raining/sleet 'cats and dogs' from the NE and blowing F5. Oh, bliss. Safe journey to you all tomorrow and for this Dragon meander through the slate and copper mines of Anglesey.
